Local Dolphins here travel in small groups or pods
which interact with other groups for various reasons. Males travel
in pairs known as " Adult male pair bonding". The male
pairs then interact with various female groups. This area is rich
with food for the dolphins which is fish. They eat all the varieties
of fish that we eat as well as many we don't eat because of small
bones. The school has at least 700 identified residents and many
transient dolphins come and go to interact with the locals &
to feed & nurture the young juvenile dolphins. We watch over
a dozen new born dolphins get raised every year in our bay &
it takes 7 to 9 years for them to start reaching maturity, that
makes for quite a number of the most playful of the playful "kings
of the sea".
